The Sandia Foundation annually benefits UNM and Dickinson College. Through a competitive grant program the Foundation also makes annual grants to various Albuquerque charitable organizations.
In 2006 the Sandia Foundation engaged the services of the Albuquerque Community Foundation to administer its annual grant award program. Sandia Foundation’s Trustees will continue to review and recommend grant recipients, as the Community Foundation will organize and perform required due diligence.
The 2009 average grant size was: $6,000.
Grants generally range between: $3,500 - $7,500.

The Foundation focuses on the following fields of interest:

• Children/Youth at Risk
An organization can only submit one grant proposal per year.
NOTE: All programs must directly benefit Albuquerque residents.
The Sandia Foundation will hold one distribution meeting each year, therefore grant applications must be submitted by Monday, May 3, 2010 (hand delivered or postmarked by May 3rd).
Grants are awarded in the fall of each year.
