JOHN
PEROVICH
Chairman Emeritus
Mr. Perovich, President Emeritus of the University
of New Mexico was the Chairman of the Board of Sandia
Foundation for 48 years. A native New Mexican, John received
his BBA and MBA degrees from UNM and was awarded an
honorary doctorate of law degree from Dickinson College.
John served as a navigator in the US Army Air Corps
during WWII. In 1948 he began his career at UNM
as a Student Assistant. Other positions John
held at UNM include Purchasing Agent, Comptroller,
and VP for Finance and Administration. John retired
as President of the University in 1985. John
has been a member of the Board of Trustees since 1960
and Chairman since 1968. He is also on the Board
of Trustees of the Hibben Foundation. |
